American Idol Season XIII Top 10

"Top 9 out of 75,000 people? I'll take it."

My Story. I often look at other people's "Stories" and "Bio's" wondering how they were able to begin. Where is the clear beginning to my story?

Well, it was a balmy Wednesday, the day I made my great entrance into this earth, weighing 7lbs 4oz...

Wait, that's not what you want to hear is it? It's so foreign for me to try to articulate who I am, and where my story begins. My story and I begin simultaneously. Who I am is an ever-evolving conundrum. My story is a life-long adventure.

I suppose what's piqued most people's interest is my involvement with American Idol, so let's chat about that to start things off.

American Idol. What an experience that was. I'm not quite certain as to why God chose to put me in such a huge, influential spotlight, but I cannot stress how grateful I am for the success American Idol has led me into. It was grueling in the best of ways. I like to explain it as the kind of hard work and perseverance that you can feel shaping your character and strengthening your soul.

And how can I honor my hometown (Goldsboro, NC) enough for their amazing support throughout this journey? THIS SERIOUSLY WAS THE HARDEST THING I'VE EVER DONE... But coming home to Billboard signs, Facebook Posts, and my name on small business signs, was all I needed to feel like I could truly make a difference in my community. Here I am.

Transitioning...

Now that I'm out of the American Idol "fantasy world", I feel enabled to truly let my fans (friends) get to know me in a much more authentic way. FINALLY. I'm excited to be doing shows for you guys now! ...cracking jokes about my Idol Experience and letting you see my heart. What a Life.

This isn't even a joke anymore! I'm always working on amazing music that I can't wait to share with you!

My music is just an extension of who I am always becoming.

Whether you're a newcomer or a former "Rosebuddy", I'm ecstatic to have you be apart of this journey with me. It doesn't matter if you're 5 or 50, if you believe that I have what it takes to make it further in this jungle of the music industry and continue to ignite passion and justice throughout our community, will you partner with me on this? Come to my shows and chat with me on Insta. We can link up and make something meaningful out of a silly "Talent Show Competition". Thank you for your support.
